Terms of Service

Scope & Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all websites and web applications operated under the cooltea.top domain and its subdomains (the "Services"), including cooltea.top, rand.cooltea.top, and pixel.cooltea.top.

The Services are operated by CoolTea ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using any of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

This document is a draft pending legal review. It is provided for transparency during early product development and should not be treated as final legal advice.

Description of Services

CoolTea provides small web products and a brand portal under the cooltea.top domain. Current Services include:

  • CoolTea (cooltea.top) — a brand portal linking to CoolTea products and hosting these legal pages.
  • Cool Rand (rand.cooltea.top) — a random decision-making web application.
  • Cool Pixel (pixel.cooltea.top) — a pixel-art editor with optional MCP (Model Context Protocol) access.

Features, availability, and product-specific rules may vary by Service. Product-specific terms appear later in these Terms.

Accounts & Authentication

Some Services offer optional accounts (for example, Google Sign-In or email authentication) so you can use cloud sync or account-based features. Creating an account is voluntary unless a specific feature requires it.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that pose a security or abuse risk.

User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
  • Not misuse the Services, including attempting to disrupt, damage, scrape at abusive rates, or gain unauthorized access to any part of them.
  • Not use the Services to create, store, or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes others' rights.
  • Provide accurate information when creating an account, where accounts are offered.

Intellectual Property

The Services — including design, code, branding, documentation, and related materials — are owned by CoolTea or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Services except as allowed by applicable law or with prior written permission.

You retain ownership of content you create or upload in a Service (for example, pixel canvases), subject to the license needed for us to operate that Service. See Product-Specific Terms for details.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from bugs or vulnerabilities.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CoolTea shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Services.

This includes, without limitation, decisions you make based on outputs from the Services, loss of data, or inability to access the Services.

Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Product-Specific Terms

The following sections apply in addition to the general Terms above. If there is a conflict, the product-specific section controls for that product.

Cool Pixel

Cool Pixel is a pixel-art editor at pixel.cooltea.top. It may also expose editing capabilities to AI coding agents through the Model Context Protocol (MCP) when you create and use an API key.

MCP and API keys

API keys authenticate MCP requests against your Cool Pixel account. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your API keys confidential.
  • All actions performed using your keys, including actions initiated by third-party agents or tools you connect.
  • Revoking keys you no longer need or that may have been exposed.

Do not share keys publicly or commit them to version control. Abuse of MCP access (including attempts to bypass rate limits or access other users' data) is prohibited.

User-created content

You retain ownership of pixel art and related content you create in Cool Pixel. By using the Service, you grant CoolTea a limited license to host, process, and display that content as needed to operate Cool Pixel (including MCP read/write operations you authorize).

You must not upload or generate content that infringes others' intellectual property or violates applicable law.

Intellectual property in your canvases

Subject to the general Intellectual Property section, your canvases and layers remain yours. Cool Pixel's editor, MCP tools, branding, and software remain CoolTea's property.

Cool Rand

Cool Rand is a free random decision-making web application at rand.cooltea.top. It lets you create custom decision lists and randomly select from them (for example, via a spin wheel), and provides quick tools such as coin flip, dice roll, and random number generation.

Random outcomes

Outcomes produced by Cool Rand are random (or pseudorandom) and are provided for entertainment and informal decision support only. Do not rely on Cool Rand for legally binding, financial, medical, safety-critical, or similarly consequential decisions.

Local storage and cloud sync

By default, your decisions and choices are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. If you sign in and enable cloud sync, your data may be uploaded and stored on our infrastructure for cross-device access. You remain responsible for the content of your decision lists.

No guarantee of results

We do not warrant that random outcomes are suitable for any particular purpose, or that cloud sync will preserve data without loss under all circumstances. Keep your own backups of anything important.
